How it works.
From turning it on to sending a reply, in the order you do it. You choose every word that gets sent.
1 · Turn it on
Set it as your keyboard.
Warmtype is a keyboard, so your phone has to be told to use it. It is made for Android.
- Install it, then switch Warmtype on in your phone's keyboard settings and choose it as the keyboard you type with.
- The AI features work only after you agree to a notice in the app. Choose “Not now” and ordinary typing keeps working.
- Reply also needs Android's Accessibility permission, which you switch on yourself after the app explains it.
2 · Reply
Stuck on a reply? Get a few.
Open Reply in a chat, check what it captured, then choose a draft and make it yours.
You stay in control
The keyboard only listens after you tap its mic key.
It reads the screen when you open the tool, shows you what it captured, and lets you remove anything. Only what you keep is sent, and only when you tap Generate.

Your earlier message: “Try the new one on Smith St.”Remove
Check what it captured
Take out anything you don't want sent, including the chat's name.

2 messages kept. Chat name removed.
GenerateTap Generate
Nothing is sent until you tap Generate.

- ShortBetter. Thursday?
- WarmEven better than I said. I would love to take you.
- A questionWhat does your Thursday look like?
Even better than I said. I would love to take you there on Thursday.
Choose, change, send
Pick the draft that sounds like you. You send it, not the app.
3 · Dictate
Talk, and it writes.
Tap the mic and speak. Say “comma”, “question mark” or “new line” and the punctuation appears. Check the text before it goes in, and let it drop the ums.
You can also download an on-phone voice model, which doesn't upload your audio.

um so I was thinking maybe we could do thursday
I was thinking maybe we could do Thursday.
4 · Say it better
Say it better, or fix the slip.
Dash off the rough version, then let Rewrite or Expand shape it: warm or professional, casual or direct. You see the result before it replaces a word.
Today's autocorrect works in a series of steps, each able to overrule the last. If a change isn't what you meant, undo it with one tap.
We're building one engine that weighs your taps, the spelling and the word before it all at once. It is experimental and still off in the app. The example here shows how it decides. See a recording of today's autocorrect on the Research page.
see you tomorow
- Where your finger landed. Each tap is weighed against the keys around it, so a near miss still counts.
- How the word is spelled. “tomorow” is one letter from “tomorrow”.
- The word before it. After “see you”, “tomorrow” fits.

On your phone. Typing, suggestions and autocorrect. Words it learns. Your clipboard and saved messages. Camera text scanning and translation.
Only after you agree. Voice goes through our server to Deepgram. The tidy-up, Rewrite, AI Reply, Email and Compose go through our server to Anthropic (Claude). If a primary service is unavailable, rate limiting us or refusing our account, the same text request or voice clip may go through our server to Groq as backup. Say no, and the keyboard still types.
