Effective 16 October 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Derek Brown, a sole trader in Australia (ABN 79 314 389 399), who makes Warmtype. Our business address is available on request: email [email protected]. By using the app you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use it
You must be 13 or older, wherever you live. We do not ask your age in the app; Google Play's age rating applies. In South Korea you must be 14 or older. In Kyrgyzstan, if you are under 14, you may use Warmtype only with a parent's consent. In The Gambia you must be 18 or older, or have a parent's consent. If you are under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian, and ask them before you buy a subscription. If you are in Texas and under 18, these terms bind you only with the parental consent Google Play collects.
2. The free plan
Warmtype is free to install. Typing, predictions and autocorrect have no limit. The free plan includes one reply style at a time and a daily allowance of AI uses (currently 10 a day), shown in the app.
3. The subscription
- What you get: up to three reply styles at once and a larger daily allowance (currently 120 a day), shown in the app before you buy.
- Price and billing: the price and billing currency shown in Google Play before you confirm are what you pay, and Google Play bills you. It is a monthly subscription that renews automatically each month, at the price shown in Google Play, until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Google Play.
- Cancelling: open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and cancel Warmtype. Cancel at least a day before renewal to avoid the next charge. You keep the plan until the end of your paid billing period. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Price changes: where Google Play asks you to accept a higher price, you are not charged it unless you accept; if you don't, the subscription ends at the next renewal. We also tell you in the app 30 days before a higher price first applies to you, with how to cancel, and you can cancel before it does.
- Phones: one subscription can be used on up to 2 phones. There are no accounts: the subscription is linked to the Google Play purchase on your phone, not to your name. If you reinstall or change phones, use Restore in the app. We may unlink a purchase from a phone if it is linked to more phones than allowed, or if we have clear signs it is being shared or resold. Where we can, we tell you first; you can email us to have the decision reviewed, and if we got it wrong we restore it.
- Refunds: ask through Google Play, under Google Play's refund policy, or email us. You have consumer rights where you live that cannot be excluded, for example the guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and your statutory rights in the UK and the EEA. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. A refund may or may not end your plan: access ends when Google Play revokes the purchase or the subscription expires.
- UK and EEA, changing your mind: For subscriptions bought through Google Play, manage or cancel in Google Play. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal. Request refunds and any applicable statutory withdrawal through Google Play Help; contact us for help. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
4. The allowance and availability
The daily allowance is the most you can use, not a promise of availability. AI features can be slow or unavailable at times, for example if an AI company has an outage or our service reaches its own daily limit. Typing always keeps working. If you are paying and the AI features stop working for a long time, contact us.
4A. Where you can use the AI features
Our AI provider is only available in some countries. AI features may not be used from countries or regions our AI provider does not support, including through a VPN. If we can't confirm you are in a supported country or region, the AI features say they are not available there. Typing still works.
5. AI suggestions can be wrong
AI replies, rewrites and transcripts are suggestions made by AI. Drafts from AI Reply, Compose and Email are made by AI. They can be wrong, out of context or inappropriate. You choose what to send and are responsible for it. Check facts before you rely on them. Do not use Warmtype for medical, legal, financial or emergency advice.
6. Reporting
If an AI reply is offensive or harmful, tap Report on the reply card. We read reports, keep them for 90 days, and use them to handle the problem and make the app safer.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Warmtype to:
- harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate anyone;
- share other people's messages you have no right to share;
- send another person's health, sex-life or sexuality details you don't need for your reply: remove those lines before you tap Generate;
- create sexual content involving anyone under 18, or other illegal content;
- break the law, or the rules of the app you are typing in;
- copy, overload or get around the limits of our service, including the country limit in section 4A.
We may suspend AI features for an install that breaks these rules. We may pause them briefly to stop abuse while we check. Where we can, we tell you why; you can email us to have it reviewed. Typing keeps working.
8. Your content
What you type and say stays yours. We use it only to provide the AI features and to handle problem reports you choose to send, as the Privacy Policy explains.
9. Other companies
Anthropic and Deepgram provide the AI features, and Groq may act as a backup for text and speech when a primary service is unavailable, rate limiting us or refusing our account. Google provides ML Kit and Google Play, and OVHcloud (OVH Australia Pty Ltd) hosts our server. Their own terms also apply to what they do.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for what you choose to send. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees you have where you live that cannot be excluded, such as under the Australian Consumer Law or UK and EEA consumer law.
11. Changes
We may change these terms or the plans. We will post changes here with a new date at least 14 days before they take effect. A change that makes a paid plan worse takes effect only from a future renewal, after we tell you in the app; we honour the period you have already paid for, or give an appropriate refund where the law requires. If you don't agree, you can stop using the app and cancel your subscription.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You may also have rights under the law where you live, and you can use them in your local courts where that law allows.
